Vehicle Description

The appeal of a professionally built hot rod lies in its ability to honor the past while dramatically improving every aspect of the driving experience. When executed correctly, the result isn't simply a restored classic, it's a completely reimagined automobile that delivers modern reliability, exceptional craftsmanship, and timeless style. This outstanding Ford 5-Window Coupe is precisely that kind of build. Constructed without compromise and finished to an exceptional standard, it combines classic pre-war Ford styling with proven Chevrolet V8 performance, contemporary chassis engineering, and a beautifully tailored interior to create a street rod equally at home on the highway or the concours lawn. Professionally built by the talented craftsmen at Miller Brothers Hot Rod Barn in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, this all-steel coupe was the subject of a meticulous frame-off restoration and custom build. The body was stripped to bare metal before receiving a beautiful finish in GM Autumn Maple two-stage paint, a rich metallic color that perfectly complements the Ford's graceful curves and Art Deco-inspired styling. Outstanding panel fit, excellent body alignment, and superb attention to detail are evident throughout, while carefully selected brightwork and tasteful custom touches elevate the presentation without distracting from the coupe's timeless design. Opening the hood reveals a meticulously detailed engine compartment centered around a professionally built Chevrolet 383ci stroker V8. Combining legendary small-block reliability with impressive performance, the engine is topped by a polished Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection beneath a Billet Specialties air cleaner. Billet valve covers, Sanderson headers, a Flame-Thrower electronic distributor, Taylor ignition wires, polished accessory drive components, and an aluminum radiator with electric cooling fan complete a package that is as attractive as it is dependable. The result is effortless starting, excellent drivability, and abundant power whether cruising city streets or stretching its legs on the open highway. Equally impressive is the chassis beneath. A Mustang II-style independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering and Aldan adjustable coil-over shocks provides confident handling and a comfortable ride, while four-wheel power disc brakes offer modern stopping capability. Power is delivered through a proven Turbo-Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission to a Ford 9-inch rear axle equipped with a Truetrac limited-slip differential. Large-diameter exhaust tubing, electronic cutouts, and polished MagnaFlow mufflers give the coupe an unmistakable soundtrack, while staggered Schott Accelerator wheels wrapped in Falken performance tires complete the aggressive yet refined stance. The custom interior was entrusted to Kirk's Kustom Upholstery of Corryton, Tennessee, where approximately four premium hides of Saddle leather were transformed into an elegant cabin that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern amenities. A TEA's Design bench seat, custom upholstered side panels, Daytona carpet, and burl wood-inspired dashboard create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Vintage Air climate control, power windows, a Lokar shifter, AutoMeter instrumentation, and a Kenwood audio system with Rockford Fosgate amplification, speakers, and subwoofer provide the conveniences expected of a modern touring car. Particularly clever is the concealed luggage compartment that discreetly houses both the battery and audio components while preserving the coupe's clean presentation. With documented build costs exceeding $190,000, this exceptional Ford represents far more than the sum of its components. Every aspect of its construction reflects careful planning, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to creating a street rod that is as enjoyable to drive as it is to admire. Beautifully finished, thoughtfully engineered, and fully sorted,
